Many of our tulips bloomed, yet again, during our April school vacation. By the time we got back to school on 4/26/04 we had many rainy days which limited our observation time. Now they have all passed bloom. Next year we are thinking of planting Red Emperor bulbs along with some later blooming bulbs so the children have more time to enjoy the blooming tulips. Our school vacation time just doesn't coincide very well with the blooming time of the Red Emperors!
