In 2002 my first Ruby throat arrived on May 8, Last year it was May 7 and this year it is May 5. It is a female and went to the same lilac bush as it does every year. Have yet to find a nest though. Our trees are just starting to leaf out in Ontario, and there are really only some tulips and spring flowers around now. Night time temps are pretty cool (last night 2 celsius). I have three feeders, all with fresh nectar. I hope that will tide them over until the rest of the flowers start to bloom.
