Spring is officially (finally!) here in the Excelsior, MN. area. In addition to my first male ruby throated hummingbird today, I also saw what I think was a yellow tiger swallowtail butterfly. Our apple and crabapple trees are in bloom and it hung out there for a while then flew away. Also had a male bluebird at my platform feeder about two weeks ago. Still have yet to see an Oriel. Oranges and grape jelly are out and anxiously awaiting their arrival in my yard.
