I just about walked into my first visitor of the season this evening at 5:14PM. He (Adult Male Ruby-throated Hummingbird)was hovering above the Bleeding Heart on the West side of the house. When I came around the corner and we noticed one another he mozzied on by me about 2'off of the ground and about 4' away. A pesky sparrow zipped into the gap between the houses from behind him and chased him off and over the street and above the neighbors' houses. Hopefully he was able to get a good look at all the plants in the yard and he'll return tomorrow! Good Luck to those who haven't had their first visitor of the season yet! Keep an eye out for them, they'll be stopping by soon!
