My wife and I have seen only two monarchs this spring. Extremely low numbers. Milkweed is abundant. There is more a. viridis(native)in the fields than I have seen in recent years. I have one large patch of common milkweed (well established) two small patches of a. tuberosa, and one small patch of common milkweed. Too bad there are not more monarchs around to take advantage of it. I plnated a butterfly/hummingbird wildflower mix in February and it is already blooming.
