May 30/04 one male monarch butterfly seen at Port Hope
by Rod and Joan Parrott
The first monarch was being blown about on the shore
of Lake Ontario. The second was nectaring very high on
lilac. Rod has also been capturing question mark
butterflies in his butterfly trap in the back yard
(baited with banana). He captured two yesterday, which
had flown across Lake Ontario. He also saw two red
admirals. (Contributed by Donald Davis)
