Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

First evidence of monarch at home of Dr. Lincoln Brower, 1500 feet, Nelson County, Roseland, VA CRM. Lovely clear day. Asclepias syriaca in front garden. Plants in top shape, blooming, several Speyeria and swallowtails including one Eurytides marcellus feeding on nectar. Checked the apical bud groups for monarch eggs, found 10 eggs on buds, two on upper leaves. Did not see the female, but obviously here. Several Eurytides eggs on pawpaw tree in garden.
