Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/17/2004

Number: 1

We returned from Spring Break on April 13 and discovered that 3 of our Jouney North tulips had bloomed and that the other 4 that had emerged had bulbs. Now all of them are blooming, but one bulb has been picked by someone and left lying next to our plot. The flowers are beautiful and the bees seem to like them, too! In our experiemental plot, only 5 of the upside down bulbs emerged and are now blooming. The other two plots, with experimental variables of no fertilizer and planted 3" deep, have only 1 emerged bulb each and neither of them has bloomed. They appear to have been eaten on by some animals.
