Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/04/2004

Number: 1

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
I saw the first monarch this evening at 6 pm. It flew across the lawn and headed straight for the blooming lilac bushes. It has been nectaring there every time I check on it. Lilacs are about the only thing blooming right now. We have had a stiff south breeze all day and the temperature is in the 70's. One of the nicest days this year. I rechecked the 6 inch milkweed plants and no eggs yet.
