Our first real Monarch arrived on Memorial Day/Monday! It was fresh and lively as it danced around sampling the Sweet William's flowers. It refused to sit still long enough for me to try out my new found knowledge from Journey North to check for the dots that explain gender! Drat! And due to pressure to finish our Ark, I simply watched and enjoyed it dancing in the rare sunshine... (15 days of rain will do that.)
