I saw my first monarch yesterday. It was busily check out our neighbors nursery stock where there were certainly no flowers (weedkiller). She/he was too active for me to determine the sex. I was jealous when my husband saw two last week. It seems rather early for monarchs this year although I haven't yet checked my calendar. My flowers are blooming and my milkweed is about ready to burst so I am hoping they will soon return to my yard.
