Today, an absolutely gorgeous Father's Day with blue skies, sunny, few
clouds, temperature mid-70's, I saw my first Monarch of the season at 10:30
a.m. in Terre Haute, IN. It did swoop back so that I had absolute
confirmation that it was a Monarch, but it did not visit my flowering
zinnias, milkweed, butterfly bush or phlox. I think it was a male, but am
not certain since it did not stop to nectar.
