We continue to find 2nd and 3rd instars in the flower heads on plants where there are no signs of larval activity on the leaves. Seems to suggest that the eggs are being laid on the flower heads rather than on the leaves of these very young plants. Today all four of the larvae found were located in the circumstances described.
