Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/11/2004

Number: 1

I saw my first, and rather faded-looking, adult monarch on July 11th feeding and apparently laying eggs on common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) at a home near the Detroit River. I saw two more this weekend, July 11 and July 12, 2004, both feeding on Budelia (butterfly bush) at other homes in my neighborhood. These other two were bright orange and seemed recently hatched
