One female monarch appeared in my back yard today. The monarch was nectaring and laying eggs. I have been able to find several eggs that she left behind on my milkweed. Her right wing was a bit worn and the lower half of the wing was missing.
I also belong to a butterfly list in Arkansas and a reported sighting on Saturday August 14 of about 20 monarchs near Russellville, AR nectaring on some kind of vine out in a field. Zip code is 72811.
