One monarch hatched today. Two yesterday,on the 8th; four on the 7th; and one on the 6th. I have 4 chrysalises left to hatch. One just turned yesterday so it will be a while yet. It has been cold here before today and I hated to put them out in the overcast drizzle but they flew off into the trees behind our house. Once they went off I didn't see them around here at all. If these last four all hatch then I have probably hatched more monarchs than I have seen in the wild this summer. My total will be 18. Down from a usual 24 hatched each of the last four summers. LATE LATE LATE!
