We have an established butterfly garden that we planted last spring. Our butterfly-shaped garden contains lantana, zinnias, marigolds, begonias, butterfly weed and herbs. We have a raised bed with swamp milkweed. Also, there are viburnums, azaleas and hydrangeas in a formal Japanese garden. We have been able to observe several different kinds of butterflies along with our one monarch sighting. We plant to experiment with more kinds of flowering plants this year.
