The caterpillars pupated into the chrysalis stage. Of the 10 caterpillars, we found 4 chrysalis on the milkweed plant and 1 on an adjacent plant. Another one was destroyed during its metamorphosis by heavy storm winds from what had been Hurricane Ivan.
