This past week I enjoyed watching four Gilded Flickers eating in the field by our house. They have apparently moved on. The leaves are starting to change,some have just turned a muddy brown and dropped. The total rainfall for September here was 10.24 inches. No snow yet. I guess we might see a little later in the week. My new crop of lettuce certainly is taking off great,it won't be long.
