Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/04/2004

Number: 1

Hordes (1000's) of butterflies migrating south along the beach at Huntington Beach State Park, Georgetown County, SC. The vast majority were of three species-Gulf Fritillary, Cloudless Sulphur, Common Buckeye. There were a few dark skippers, and Variegated Frits. Nary a Monarch which I found shocking.
