Caller reported "5000 or more" monarchs in San Angelo, Texas. She lives
"pretty close to downtown" near the Concho River. She reports having them
each year. San Angelo is in the heart of the "Central Flyway" through Texas.
Another caller yesterday reported 20 to 30 monarchs on one tree in Eden, TX
(~65 km east-southeast of San Angelo). He too reports having large numbers
of monarchs (usually in the thousands) every year.
These monarchs left San Angelo between 10
am and noon on Oct. 9th.
