Two sixth grade classes at Parkway Middle school planted their tulip gardens on 10/7 and 10/8. Garden 1 contains 20 bulbs. Garden 2 contains 18 bulbs. Students problem solved how to measure carefully and place each bulb according to the planting instructions. Since it has not rained here in quite a while, the gardens were watered thoroughly. Before planting the garden, each class followed the garden site selection rubric and then had to calculate the area required for each garden. Students are now working on the microclimate tulip study and plotting the gardens planted on maps.
