I mentioned to a friend in New Mexico that the monarchs were "roosting"
in our Texas ash tree on their annual migration. This was the early part
of last week - about the 4th, 5th, and 6th. There were not as many,
although the tree was full for a couple of nights. The migration did not
last as long - usually we can count on seeing them five or six days.
This time - only three days. We live on the north side of Lake
Arrowhead in Clay County, Texas. This seems to be a regular stop on the
butterflies' migration and it is always great fun to sit and watch them.
