Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/12/2004

Number: 1

For the past ten years the Monarchs have reached our house between the
6th and 10th of October. In 1994 they arrived by
the hundreds. We have several large cotton woods and large
pecan trees. They never stay in the cotton woods only in the
pecan or peach trees. Each year there has been fewer and fewer.

They
were late this year- arriving on the 12- probably
a hundred - then a few more on the 13 & 14 less than a 100.
They did not stay over night as they usually do only rested a
few moments and resumed flight.
