Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/10/2004

Number: 1

A friend of mine has a ranch in Del Rio. She said there "hundreds of
thousands" of monarchs clustered in pecan trees on Oct. 10th to 13th. She said
that she has 2000 pecan trees and every tree she looked at was loaded
with monarchs.

She said that there were more monarchs this year than the previous 3 years. They cluster at her ranch every fall. The monarchs stay 10 to 14 days and then head south.
