I have observed male Monarchs 'kettling' around an area of goldenrods,
asters and eupatorium, under pines, looking for one female. I tagged
all but two, and one of those I netted and accidentally released prior
to tagging. These were all 5.0 mm plus sizes. Mended the females
broken wing with the little orange tags, it took several, but she flew
away after one failed attempt and another tag placement.
