Dear Journey North,
On Wednesday, October 27, we planted our Red Emperor Tulips. We planted 36 bulbs; each person got to plant 2 bulbs. We will use the leftover bulbs for experiments. We put them 7 inches underground with the pointy end up, and 4 inches apart. We watered them and covered them with leaves.
We are worried that the squirrels might get to the bulbs. We might have to cover the garden with chicken wire.
We are very excited and enthusiastic. We can't wait to see our tulips come up in the spring.
Sincerely,
Mrs.Graham's class
