Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/23/2004

Number: 1

Hi! I was impressed by the number of butterflies I saw today! I saw a lot of monarchs at the Botanic Garden in Fort Worth nectaring. I think the weather has a lot to do with it because it is sunny and warm. Last time I went I did not see a single butterfly, it was kind of cool though (about 2 weeks ago). Anyway, today, I probably saw about 10-15 butterflies within a 30 min. time frame. Most of them were nectaring from all the beatiful flowers at this garden. I was surprised because it is late october (almost nov.) and I thought I was not suppose to be seeing that many butterlies anymore since they are on their way down to Mexico.
