Tulips PLANTED

Date: 11/03/2004

Number: 1

We planted Red Emperor tulip bulbs in St. Paul on Wednesday, Nov. 3. It was a gorgeous day - in the fifties which is great for this time of the year in MN. We have been frustrated by the weather - our planting was delayed for three weeks due to cloudy and rainy weather. 94 Middle School students were on their hands and knees throughout the day, digging seven inches and planting bulbs. We had a wonderful time - a little muddy, cool in the morning, but beautiful by afternoon. We are eager for our tulip garden to emerge in the Spring!
