Finally, the tulips in Soldotna, Alaska have been planted! A long, wet fall made us believe we had lots of time. When snow was in the forecast, however, the tulip bulbs hit the dirt! The day after we planted them, it snowed a little. Six days later we are suddenly into winter, with enough snow for skiing, and nighttime temperatures below zero! Sleep well, little bulbs!
