07/27/04-Still no monarchs in my yard. Have been raising and releasing monarchs since 2001. Last year I raised and released 15. My sister in neighboring town saw a monarch yesterday. I visited to inspect her milkweed for any eggs. I located several but took only four. These were raised and released, the last of these took flight in mid September. I had plenty of milkweed and had added asclepias incarnata this year, but still no monarchs. I visited Butterfly Place of Westford, Mass. and the owner there also noted that he had to obtain his monarchs from sources out of the area. I have learned alot from the Monarch Watch website this year. Hopefully I will have monarch visitors next year and hope to tag them as well. I am glad to learn of your site and hope to follow monarch migrations.
