I have seen Monarchs as far north as La Ronge.
We regularly see them here in St. Victor (several
large patches of milkweed nearby) and my children find
the caterpillars and raise them. This year was a poor

year, we only found one caterpillar and I only saw a
couple adults, although we were quite busy in July.

La Ronge is located at 55 degrees 06' 00" N, 105
degrees 17' 00" W - and those coordinates would bring
you to a latitude north of Edmonton, Alberta! I wonder
where their progeny migrate to?
