Two classes of first and two of second graders planted 100 tulips. Since the present second graders planted successful bulbs last year, they were hard to hold back.
Our head gardener helped us by plowing the garden area after he added a generous amount of manure. These tulips have a great head start. We will have to take pictures of our results to share with him. His Army unit will soon be deployed. He planted over 1,000 bulbs on our campus which will keep him present in our thoughts. This tulip project has many reasons to be important.
