In anticipation of spring I noticed yesterday that some of our trees here in the western NY area have started budding. One tree in particular has developed very large buds already. Another sign of spring: Lanny Chambers has just put up the 2005 Hummingbird Miration Map yesterday. Until our snow storm last week, I had daffodils making their first appearance of the season. Now they are under a foot of snow and have gone back to napping for a while longer.
