After a warm spell of weather in the 60s from Jan 1st to the 8th, museum horticulture staff noticed the first tulip leaves emerging in the Children's Learning Garden as they were weeding. This is the earliest emergence since we've planted tulips for Journey North, probably due to the warm weather. It got warm again Jan 12-14 then got cold and remained cold until February, when the week of the 6th it got into the 50s regularly through the week.
