Temperature was 30F overcast with no wind at 1:45 pm (Atlantic time). The robin was spotted in a cluster of white spruce (Picea glauca). He was perched on the top part and was quite agitated due to the presence of 8 blue jays. No movements were observed. He just stayed on the tree and was really noisy.


Many other species of bird were also observed in the same area today. Black and Boreal chickadees, red breasted nuthatch, bohemian waxwing and Pine Grosbeak

Another robin popped up on the weekend. This one was flying over the road and heading towards the fields. The temperature was 25F and overcast.
