I live in Bonita Springs Florida where we have witnessed wave after wave of
robins here today, Friday Feb. 4. It is an amazing sight. As we walked up to
our house this afternoon at five o'clock we saw a carpet of robins disturbing
all the mulch around the flowers and bushes. It was obvious to me they were
looking for insects and I hope they found some dispite all the insecticides
that people use. They also covered the trees but flew off when we walked near
I've seen them in northern California this time of year but not in this area
since I moved here five years ago. A cold front also moved in today. We are in
our dry season here. The robins we saw were in the landscaped communities not
in the swamp.
