I want to report that I have had a small number of caterpillars throughout the winter. My milkweed has maintained minimal growth but enough to support a small group of caterpillars.

In late January, I found a Monarch in my pool, lying sideways and very lethargic because of the coldness of the water. I fished her out and set her on a plant that would get the first sun rays of the day. She was gone when I returned from work.
