We've seen an unusual number of Robins over the last 10-14 days. Yesterday
afternoon there were probably at least 100 between our yard and two adjacent
neighbor's yards. There was a group of birds gathered under a neighbors
large Oak tree, probably close to 25 of them. Many of the birds were on the
ground and appeared to be feeding...pecking at things, many were perched in
trees or flying back and forth between trees. My husband pointed out one
that was reaching his beak up into the water spigot on the side of the
neighbor's house. My husband had been watching this bird, or perhaps
several of them, getting water drops from the spigot throughout the day.
Saturday and Sunday (yesterday) were sunny with a high in the70's. Over the
last week the highs have been in the 60s with lows overnight in the mid to
upper 30s and low 40s. There hasn't been any rain recently.
