The red-winged blackbirds are back...and, once again, the feeders are empty as soon as they are filled! Nevertheless, they are always the first sign of spring here, so they're always a welcome sight, appetites notwithstanding!

In addition, the first grackles have returned and joined the ones that have stopped migrating south... now bring on the robins!!
