I couldn't stand to take pictures from Lookout Point at the Upper Mississippi State Park as the observation deck was about 100' up and not exactly on terraferma. Instead I went to Oak Point a short ways north down the road. For my fear, I was rewarded by sighting an eagle who I must have disturbed. A friend from the area said many have been seen along the river from there down into Iowa where I saw one last week. My friend from Clinton, IA about 10 miles or so south said he's heard of
alot of sightings along the river lately.
