Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/17/2005

Number: 1

This morning at 8:20 AM, I looked out the farmhouse window and saw our first Red-winged Blackbird. He was in the bush near the house. Our house sits on the edge of Lubber's Run which is a tributary to the Musconetcong River. The water is frozen over, so he was eating the birdseed we had put out for the birds.
