I witnessed a group of robins at least 30 on the grounds of a nursing home about a mile from my home. Most of the birds appeared to be male and staying on the ground or in branches close to the ground. The area has many berry bushes and plenty of shelter for roosting. They were gone the next morning by 9:00AM when I checked on them.
