On Feb. 21, 2005, a small flock of red-winged blackbirds came to our feeder. I threw out more seeds on the ground, whcih they relished. There is fresh snow on the ground - about 2 inches. I live in rural north-east Pennsylvania (Catawissa, Pa.- outside of Bloomsburg, Pa.
