We have several asclepias plants in our backyard in order to attract Monarch larvae. There are about 8 larvae of various sizes on the plants now. One has gone to the pupa stage. Last September, 2004, all of the pupae turned brown and died. We don't know why. I hope that doesn't happen again to this generation.
