On February 15, I saw 10-15 robins in a tree outside the nursing home where my mother lives in Peabody, MA. When I walked by them, I could hear the high pitched "seeee" sound. I looked all around in the sky and nearby trees, but could not spot any arial predator. In our area, the most common daytime predatory bird is the red-tailed hawk. The robins made no other vocalizations while I was there. Could they see something that I could not? Holly Cerullo, retired teacher, still enjoying Journey North
