I have had one or two Monarchs overwinter in my Gulf Breeze, FL, (near Pensacola) yard this year. They are feeding on the lantana and a hawthorn shrub that has bloomed early. We did have three or so nights with temps under freezing, but these Monarchs obviously found a warm enough place!
