Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/07/2005

Number: 1

Our school is in Mill Valley CA and several Monarchs have come to our milkweed garden this week. One particular female has been in our garden all week laying eggs! Our students are fascinated! She arrived on March 7th, 2005 and is still here daily laying eggs and circling around (as of March 15th). We've counted at least a dozen eggs. Our milkweed sprouted about a week before, and some have leaves from last year's growth. I hope this helps! We love Monarchs and had them lay eggs all fall (August through October).
