Amid all the wind and blowing snow, 17 red-winged blackbirds have just
alighted in our yard to dine under some sunflower feeders. We never
before have seen so many red-wings in our yard, which is in Pierce
County, Wis., about 10 miles northeast of downtown Red Wing, Minn.
