While driving by Lake Meahagh, in Verplanck, NY. The time was approx. 9 AM. We spotted two adults sitting on a small chunk of leftover ice in the lake. Later on in the day, (around 2PM), at the same location two adults were flying over the lake. They were down low enough to easily see the white head and tails! Truly awesome! Also spotted eagles flying above the Annsville Circle (Rt 9 at Peekskill, NY.) during the week of 3-14-05. Another good site for spotting is at the end of Broadway, in Verplanck,NY, on the Hudson River.
